Pancreatic cancer is one of the most lethal solid malignancies in adults. Lack of early detection methods has resulted in a dismal survival rate. The majority of cancers are currently diagnosed at advanced stages where treatment options are limited, resulting in poor prognosis. The five-year survival rate is less than 5%. Early diagnosis of the disease is critical.
